Hurricanes Dominate PBC Awards with Player, Coach of the Year Honors, Three All-Conference Picks

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern men's golf program was well represented in the Peach Belt Conference postseason awards announced Friday morning, highlighted by multiple All-Conference selections, a Player of the Year honor, and Co-Coach of the Year recognition.

Leading the way, Jordan Jones was named Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year while also earning First Team All-Conference honors. He was joined on the first team by teammate Sam Brown, giving the Hurricanes two of the conference's top five players.

Additionally, Sacha Corlouer earned Second Team All-Conference recognition, capping off an impressive freshman campaign and giving Georgia Southwestern three total All-Conference selections.

Jones Headlines Award Winners

Jones, a sophomore from Auckland, New Zealand, has put together one of the top seasons in Division II golf. Currently ranked No. 19 nationally, he owns a 71.1 adjusted scoring average across 26 rounds and has compiled a 530-206-17 record.

His season was highlighted by a dominant victory at the Bobcat Invitational, where he finished at 8-under par and won by seven shots in a 74-player field. The win marked his first collegiate victory and helped propel him into the national spotlight.

Jones also recorded top-10 finishes at the Hurricane Invitational (7th) and UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate (6th), along with a top-10 showing at the Oldfield Classic. His consistency throughout the year made him one of the most reliable performers in the conference.

Brown Adds to Hurricanes First Team Selections

Brown, a junior from Sofia, Bulgaria, earned First Team All-Conference honors after another strong season for the Hurricanes. Ranked No. 51 nationally, he posted a 71.5 adjusted scoring average over 23 rounds and recorded a 433-198-29 record.

His season included a runner-up finish at the Oldfield Classic and a sixth-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational. Brown also added a top-20 finish at the Southeastern Collegiate, consistently contributing to Georgia Southwestern's success throughout the year.

Corlouer Shines as Freshman

Corlouer, a true freshman from Noumea, France, quickly emerged as one of the top young players in the conference. Ranked No. 27 nationally with a 71.0 scoring average, he earned Second Team All-Conference honors after a breakout season.

His year was highlighted by a victory at the Argonaut Invitational, where he finished at 11-under par to claim medalist honors in an 87-player field. He also added a top-15 finish at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate and multiple solid performances throughout the spring.

Donaldson Earns Co-Coach of the Year

Head coach Darcy Donaldson was named Peach Belt Conference Co-Coach of the Year, adding to an already decorated résumé.

Now in his 14th season leading the Hurricanes, Donaldson has guided the program to ten NCAA Tournament appearances, including each of the last six seasons. Under his leadership, Georgia Southwestern has enjoyed the most successful stretch in program history, finishing ranked inside the top ten nationally in each of the past six years.

Donaldson previously earned Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year honors in the 2019-20 season and has also been recognized as both the GCAA Southeast Region Coach of the Year and the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year.
