Hurricanes Rally Past No. 1 Team to Win Bobcat Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – The No. 7-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team captured the team title at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College at the Golf Club of Cuscowilla.

The Hurricanes finished at +3 through two rounds (284-279), securing the championship in a stacked field that included multiple top-25 nationally ranked teams, including the nation's No. 1-ranked program. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather.

The victory marks Georgia Southwestern's second tournament win of the spring season and propelled the Hurricanes to No. 6 in the latest national rankings, continuing their strong push toward postseason play.

Closing Strong

Georgia Southwestern opened with a 4-over round before responding with a tournament-best 1-under 279 in Round 2 to surge into the lead. Trailing late, the Hurricanes caught fire down the stretch, recording eight birdies over their final seven holes to surge past No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State and take control of the tournament.

Jordan Jones — 1st (-8, 68-64)
Jones captured individual medalist honors with a dominant performance, firing rounds of 68 and 64. His 6-under 64 in Round 2 was the lowest round of the tournament and powered the Hurricanes to the team title.

Sam Brown — T6 (E, 69-71)
Brown delivered a steady performance and led the field in Par 4 scoring (3.83, -4). He also contributed one of the team's two eagles.

Stefan Rojas — T8 (+2, 72-70)
Rojas posted consistent rounds and tied for the lead in Par 5 scoring (4.50, -2). He added an eagle to help fuel the Hurricanes' win.

Oscar Hammar — T44 (+9, 75-74)
Hammar provided depth in the lineup with steady rounds across both days.

Sacha Corlouer — T51 (+10, 76-74)
Corlouer rounded out the lineup and contributed to the team's overall consistency.

Tournament Medalist

Jordan Jones of Georgia Southwestern earned individual medalist honors at 8-under par, winning by seven shots.
