Oscar Hammar were named to the 2025-26 Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team released by the league Thursday afternoon.
Brown, an accounting major from Sofia, Bulgaria, maintained a 3.80 grade point average while putting together one of the finest seasons in program history. He was named PBC Golfer of the Week on March 2 following a runner-up finish at the 90-player Oldfield Classic before capturing the first tournament title of his GSW career at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
Brown finished as the Hurricanes' top performer at both the NCAA South/Southeast Regional and NCAA Division II National Championship. He concluded the season ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division II with a team-best 72.15 scoring average.
Hammar, a management major from Varberg, Sweden, compiled a 3.53 grade point average. The senior recorded three top-10 finishes during the season, including a tie for second place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
Hammar was GSW's second-highest finisher at the NCAA Division II National Championship, tying for 28th place overall. He finished the year ranked No. 75 in NCAA Division II and had a 72.97 scoring average.
The all-academic team is a part of the PBC's larger initiative to celebrate the academic achievements of PBC student-athletes.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events; 2) achieve a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) reach sophomore athletic and academic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference sports communications professionals oversee the program.
