PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. – The No. 2-ranked Georgia Southwestern State University men's golf team closed its fall season in commanding fashion Tuesday, cruising to a 35-stroke victory at the Parris Island Legends Collegiate, co-hosted by GSW and USC Beaufort at The Legends at Parris Island.
The Hurricanes finished at 26-under-par 838 (281-277-280), sweeping the top three individual positions and placing four golfers among the top five to secure their fourth team tournament championship of the calendar year.
GSW established control early, building a 27-stroke lead through Monday's opening two rounds before extending its advantage to 35 strokes with an 8-under 280 in Tuesday's final round.
