AMERICUS, Ga. – Success in the classroom continues to be a point of pride for Georgia Southwestern State University softball, as 10 Hurricanes student-athletes earned 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize collegiate softball student-athletes who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, honoring the commitment these athletes make to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

The 2025-26 awards recognized 8,850 collegiate student-athletes across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as NAIA and junior college programs. The annual honors highlight the academic achievements of softball student-athletes throughout the country.
For the Hurricanes, the recognition reflects the dedication of the student-athletes who balance the demands of collegiate athletics with their academic responsibilities. From long hours on the field to time spent in the classroom, GSW's softball student-athletes continue to demonstrate that success extends well beyond the diamond.
In addition to the individual Scholar-Athlete honors, the NFCA also recognizes its Top 10 Academic Teams in each collegiate classification based on overall team GPA. The annual team rankings highlight programs that have demonstrated a collective commitment to academic excellence throughout the year.
With 10 Hurricanes earning individual recognition, GSW softball continues to showcase the importance of being a student-athlete first and representing Georgia Southwestern both academically and athletically.
