No. 3 GSW Finishes 3rd at Hurricane Invite With Another Strong Final Round

ALBANY, Ga. -- The No. 3-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team posted a third-place finish at the Hurricane Invitational, carding a three-round team total of 868 (+4) at Doublegate Country Club. The Hurricanes closed with their best round of the week, a 287 (-1) on Tuesday, to hold third in a strong regional field.

The tournament field included several nationally ranked programs that competed head-to-head with GSW: No. 1 North Georgia; No. 7 Florida Southern; No. 9 Wingate; No. 11 Columbus State; No. 12 Lincoln Memorial; No. 14 USC Beaufort; and No. 23 Saint Leo. Florida Southern won the event with a 6-under-par 858, with Columbus State finishing second at 2-over.

Georgia Southwestern produced four eagles as a team — one each from Elias Jarn, Sam Brown, João Costa, and Oscar Hammar. That big-shot production was a key part of the Hurricanes' scoring punch over three rounds.
