BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The No. 3-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team placed eighth at the National Preview held this week at Boulder Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 7,421 yards). The Hurricanes carded a team total of 847 (283–281–283, –17) to close out another strong showing against several nationally ranked programs.
The event provided a preview of championship-caliber competition, with multiple teams inside the national top 25 in attendance, including Cal State East Bay (No. 16), Chico State (No. 21), University of Missouri-St. Louis (No. 22), Colorado State University Pueblo (No. 24) and Midwestern State (No. 25).
Lynn University captured the tournament title at 28-under (836) after soaring up the leaderboard on the final day with an 11-under in Round 3. Seth Bearden from Midwestern State won the individual championship by two strokes with a 13-under 203.

João Costa – T12 | 209 (69–67–73, –7)
Costa continued his stellar start to the season with another top-15 finish, firing a 5-under 67 in the second round to climb the leaderboard. He ranked T5 in Par 5 scoring (4.17, –10) and was T4 in the tournament with two eagles, showcasing his ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Costa now owns multiple top-20 finishes this fall.
Oscar Hammar – T19 | 212 (70–72–70, –4)
Hammar turned in three steady rounds at par or better to finish inside the top 20. He was among the tournament's most consistent iron players, tying for second in Par 3 scoring (2.83, –2) while adding a stretch of 11 birdies across the final two rounds. His precision on the short holes helped GSW maintain momentum in a loaded field.
Stefan Rojas – T38 | 215 (70–75–70, –1)
Rojas opened and closed the week with matching 70s, highlighted by four birdies and an eagle in the final round. The sophomore displayed resilience after a challenging middle round, finishing the event under par and contributing valuable counting scores for the Hurricanes both days.
Elias Jarn – T47 | 217 (74–73–70, +1)
Jarn saved his best golf for the final day, posting a 2-under 70 to jump more than 15 spots on the leaderboard. His consistency was a bright spot all week — tying for sixth overall in pars (37) — while anchoring GSW's depth and stability through the lineup.
Jordan Jones – T47 | 217 (76–69–72, +1)
Jones rebounded from a tough start with an electric second-round 69 that included a flurry of red numbers. The senior ranked T5 in Par 5 scoring (4.17, –10) and tied for first in eagles (3), joining Costa among the tournament leaders in long-hole scoring efficiency.
