AMERICUS, Ga. --The Georgia Southwestern baseball lost its third consecutive game as they were defeated by Barry University 5-0.

Barry scored in the second inning on a rbi single that gave the Buccaneers the early lead.

The game was a pitchers' duel until the sixth inning when Barry scored three run on three hits that gave them a 4-0 lead.

A rbi single in the eighth inning sealed the game for the Buccaneers winning 5-0.

GSW could not find any offense as they only recorded two hits the entire game.

Starting pitcher Nick McCollum battled for seven innings he allowed four runs and struck out five batters as he falls to 4-2 on the season. 

The Canes will stay home to complete the three-game weekend series due to the weather game one will begin at 9:30 am Sunday morning.
