Hurricanes win at Thomas

Byron Haynes went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double to lead Georgia Southwestern to an 8-5 win over Thomas University on Wedenesday evening in Thomasville. GSW starter Travis Barrett (5-1) threw five innings to pick up the win and Corey Hawes  earned his second save of the season by recording the final two outs of the game and leaving TU with the bases loaded in the ninth.

Zack Stanton and Beau Parker had two hits apiece for GSW.
