Lady 'Canes struggle against Fla. Southern

GSW lost a pair of games against Florida Southern, 8-0 and 5-0, in St. Augustine, Fla. on Saturday as part of the Flagler Invitational.

The Lady Moccasins (11-1) have won six in a row by shutouts.  GSW managed only one hit in each game.

Brittany Milstid took the loss in the first game.

Brandi Pratt's single was the lone hit for the Lady 'Canes.

Southern built a 4-0 lead after the third inning and finished it off with two more in the sixth.
Williams drove in three runs, and Powell had two RBI.

In the nightcap, Florida Southern scored two runs in the third and fourth innings and one in the fifth.

Angela Williams, Lindsey Powell and Natalie Lang had two hits apiece for Southern.

Tiffany Milstid (0-3) pitched three innings, surrendering two runs on four hits in taking the loss.

Shea Weaver had the team's only hit in game two.

GSW looks to rebound on Monday when they host UNC Pembroke in a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader starting at 4 p.m.
