The Lady Hurricanes combined for four hits in a doubleheader as
West Georgia took the two games by 8-0 and 5-1 scores. GSW didn't
have a hit in Game 1 and committed seven errors over the
two games.
The Lady Wolves (3-1) pounded out eight hits in the first game,
led by Aubrey Biddle, who was 3-for-3 with two RBI. After a
scoreless three innings, West Georgia cracked the scoreboard with
five runs.
They finished the game with a run in the fifth and two in the
sixth.
GSW (2-4) had one baserunner - Heather Chambers - who drew a
walk.
Three pitchers were used in the game with Jessica Martin (1-1)
taking the loss, going 3.2 innings and allowing five runs - none
earned - on three hits.
The Lady Hurricanes didn't fare much better in Game 2.
Chambers' solo home run in the second, her second of the season,
was GSW's only run.
Tiffany Milstid (0-1) went five innings, allowing five runs -
two earned - on six hits in the loss.
Kaley Sullivan drove in two runs for West Georgia on a single in
the first inning, and Lindsy Kragt's two-run homer in the fourth
finished the scoring.
GSW will return to action Saturday for its first conference
games when Francis Marion pays a visit.
