TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Freshman Haley Solan led the Georgia Southwestern State University women's cross country team for the second consecutive race Friday night as the Lady Hurricanes competed in the HOKA + Nights of Thunder Cross Country Fest at Apalachee Regional XC Park.

Solan completed the 5K course in 24:38.57 to finish 40th overall and pace GSW. She averaged 7:56 per mile in her second collegiate race.

Freshman Mary Tilghman was the second Lady Hurricane across the line, placing 54th in 26:18.98. Junior Sonja Bernacki followed in 61st with a time of 27:35.09.

Freshman Molly Flynn finished 69th in 28:53.33, while sophomore Crystal Lance rounded out GSW's scoring five in 79th with a time of 30:57.46.

Georgia Southwestern finished 10th in the 12-team field with 237 points. The Lady Hurricanes combined for a total time of 2:18:23.4 and an average pace of 8:55 per mile.

Daytona State College won the team title with 42 points, followed by Gulf Coast State College with 52 and Truett-McConnell with 88. Central Florida finished fourth with 142 points, while Enterprise State Community College rounded out the top five with 149.

Individual runner Nina Emhoff posted the fastest time of the race, completing the course in 19:10.59.
