Nini Ovalles were named to the 2025-26 Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic Team released by the league Monday afternoon.
Jackson, a health and physical education major from Brunswick, Ga., maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She played in all 27 games this past season and started on 13 occasions. Jackson led the team in field goal percentage, total rebounds and blocks. She was named the PBC Player of the Week on December 1 and posted four double-doubles during the season.
Ovalles, an exercise science major from Lawrenceville, Ga., finished with a 3.78 grade point average. She played in 21 of the Lady Hurricanes games this past season and scored a season-best 19 points against the University of Fort Lauderdale on November 22. Ovalles was a transfer from Livingstone College.
The all-academic team is a part of the PBC's larger initiative to celebrate the academic achievements of PBC student-athletes.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) reached sophomore athletic and academic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference sports communications professionals oversee the program.
