Lady Hurricanes close season at Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University women's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 campaign Saturday afternoon, falling 1–0 to Flagler College in the Peach Belt Conference regular-season finale at Saints Field.

The Lady Hurricanes (4-8-3, 1-6-3 PBC) entered the matchup looking to build on last year's home win over the Saints, but despite a determined defensive effort and a few second-half chances, GSW couldn't find the breakthrough.

Flagler broke the scoreless deadlock in the 59th minute when Carrie Consolino finished a pass from Ella Gembicki with a strike into the box that slipped past the reach of GSW goalkeeper Alana Beddow.

Beddow was sharp throughout, collecting six saves while facing 17 total shots from the Saints. On the other end, freshman forward Jordin Gundin led the GSW attack with four shots, including one on goal, while Anna Wheatley also put a shot on target.

The Lady Hurricanes recorded seven shots in the match, five coming after halftime as they pushed forward in search of an equalizer.

Saturday's result concluded another season of progress for the program, which matched its all-time high of 24 goals for the second straight year. GSW's lone win at Flagler remains its 2010 victory, and the Hurricanes continue their pursuit of another breakthrough in St. Augustine after going scoreless there since 2014.
