Kristin Burton scored four goals to lead the Armstrong
Atlantic State University women to a 6-0 win over the
Lady 'Canes on Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field.
Aiding the strong performance by Burton was a three
assist game from Jamie Craine. Craine and Jennifer
Brian knocked in a goal apiece to round out the scoring for
AASU (5-3-2, 2-1-1).
GSW goalkeeper Christy Drabek finished with nine
saves. Tracey Mitchell came off the bench to save
one for AASU. The Pirates outshot GSW 30-2 and
led in corner kicks 5-0.
The Lady Canes (3-8-0, 0-1-0) are back in action on Saturday
when they travel to Lander for a 1:00 p.m. Peach Belt Conference
match.
