1949 Played on the first organized GSW Baseball Team, Elected Captain
1950 Re-elected Captain. Overall record was 13-4. Played South Georgia College for the Conference Championship 
1975, 1976, 1977 President of GSW Alumni Association
Promoted 1st Alumni Scholastic Scholarship Program at GSW
Appointed by President Dr. Bill Captain to serve on the 1st  GSW Foundation Board
1982 Established the Henry King Stanford Scholarship Fund for Beginning Freshmen
President GSW Hurricane Club for two years 
1986-1987 Received the 2nd Lewynn Finklea Outstanding Alumni Award
1995 Local Chairman of the Reunion for Classes of 1948, 1949, and 1950
1998 $2,000 Scholarship was presented to GSWU Alumni Association in honor of Earl Gammage by Georgia State Gospel Sing Convention
