TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Freshman
Tate Ragsdale led the Georgia Southwestern State University men's cross country team for the second consecutive race Friday night as the Hurricanes competed in the HOKA + Nights of Thunder Cross Country Fest at Apalachee Regional XC Park.
Ragsdale completed the 8K course in 32:05.97 to finish 40th overall and pace GSW. He averaged 6:27 per mile.
Sophomore
Joseph Esco followed closely behind, placing 44th with a time of 32:21.87 and a 6:31 average mile. Senior
Trey Reid was the third Hurricane across the line, finishing 55th in 33:49.72.
Sophomore
Michael Korfhage placed 84th with a time of 38:49.92, while junior
Gerona Williams rounded out GSW's scoring five in 94th at 55:33.46.
Georgia Southwestern finished ninth in the nine-team field with 216 points. The Hurricanes posted a total time of 3:12:40.9 and an average pace of 7:45 per mile.
Daytona State College won the team title with 50 points, followed by Truett-McConnell with 71 and Spring Hill with 88. Edward Waters finished fourth with 101 points, while Florida Polytechnic University rounded out the top five with 134.
Daytona State's Hayden Clark won the individual race with a time of 26:58.33.
