AMERICUS, Ga. – Georgia Southwestern senior
Peyton Namyslowski has been named the Peach Belt Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, following a dominant performance that powered the Lady Hurricanes to a perfect 4-0 opening weekend.
Namyslowski was nearly unstoppable at the plate, hitting .692 across four games while posting a staggering 2.099 OPS. She recorded multiple hits and multiple RBIs in every game, capped by three home runs over the weekend to anchor one of the most explosive starts in program history.
The senior from Jacksonville, Fla., currently leads the Peach Belt Conference in batting average, slugging percentage (1.385), on-base percentage (.714), and OPS, setting the tone offensively for the Lady Hurricanes early in the season.
Namyslowski's ability to consistently reach base and drive in runs fueled Georgia Southwestern's offensive surge as the team opened the season unbeaten. Her all-around production earned her recognition as one of the conference's top performers and underscores her role as a veteran leader for the Lady Hurricanes.
Namyslowski becomes the sixth player in program history to earn Peach Belt Conference Softball Player of the Week honors, joining Lyndi Duff (2010), Hayley Tierce (three-time recipient), Katelyn Wood (two-time recipient), Zoe Willis (four-time recipient), and Isabel Marcotte (2023).
GSW returns to action this week and continues its season-opening nine-game homestand on Thursday against the University of West Florida at 5 p.m.
