Hayley Tierce Stripling Inducted into GSW Athletics Hall of Fame

AMERICUS, Ga. — Georgia Southwestern State University is proud to announce the induction of former softball standout Haley Tierce Stripling into the GSW Athletics Hall of Fame. Tierce Stripling, who starred for the Hurricanes from 2016 to 2019, was officially inducted on Saturday evening at the fourth annual GSW Gold Force Gala held at the Griffin Bell Conference Center.

Tierce Stripling burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2016, earning Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year honors while becoming GSW's first-ever first team All-Region selection by both the Division II Conference Commissioners Association and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She followed that success with additional NFCA All-Region honors in 2017 and 2018, and she was named to the All-PBC team in each of her four seasons.

Over her career, Tierce developed into one of the most feared hitters in the Peach Belt Conference. She holds GSW's longest hitting streak (19 games) and several single-game records, including most doubles (3), most walks (4), most intentional walks (3), and most runs scored (4). She also recorded five multi-home run games.

Her career totals place her among the all-time greats:

  • .341 batting average
  • .462 on-base percentage
  • .700 slugging percentage (2nd all-time)
  • 213 career starts (most in program history)
  • 44 doubles (most in program history)
  • 180 runs batted in (most in program history)
  • 410 total bases (most in program history)
  • 54 home runs (tied for all-time program lead)

A native of Warner Robins, Ga., and a product of Houston County High School, Tierce Stripling's career was defined by consistency, power, and leadership. She capped her time as a Hurricane with an All-Academic selection in her senior season, further cementing her place as a model student-athlete.
