AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University men's basketball standout Josiah Shackleford was named to the 2024-25 All-Peach Belt Conference third team.
Shackleford, a junior forward from Greenville, N.C., started 26 of 28 games played in his first season with the Hurricanes. He ranked third in the PBC in field goal percentage (56.2), fourth in blocks (1.3 bpg), fifth in rebounding (7.3 rpg) and eighth in the PBC in scoring (17.0 ppg).
Shackleford scored in double figures 24 times this season with the highlight being back-to-back 30-point games in early January at Columbus State University and at home against USC Beaufort. Shackleford made all 11 of his shot attempts against USCB and completed the double-double against the Sand Sharks by adding 12 rebounds. He finished the season with seven double-doubles. His 185 field goals made during the 2024-25 campaign is the most by a Hurricane player in a season during the program's NCAA era.
