BOWLING GREEN, Fla. -- No. 11 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team swung their way into fourth place to finish day one of the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional. The Hurricanes opened with a six-over 294 at the par 72, 7,139 yard Streamsong Resort course.
Simon Estrada leads the Hurricanes, shooting an even par as he sits in eighth place. Saksit Jairak shot one-over 73 as he sits tied in 17th place while Jack Tharrington shot a two-over 74 and is tied in 27th place. Chase McLain is in 46th place after shooting a three-over 75 followed by Jaxson Daskalos, who sits in 63rd place after carding a five-over 77 in the opening round.
The Hurricanes, who is second with 60 pars, will tee off for Round 2 at 7:30 a.m.
