AMERICUS - The Georgia Southwestern tennis teams opened the home portion of their 2012 schedules with a clean sweep of Tuskegee University at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon
GSW WOMEN 9, TUSKEGEE 0
The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team rolled past the Golden Tigers, 9-0, on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Lady Hurricanes (2-0) tallied a 96-24 advantage in games won against TU.
Carly Cangelosi dropped only three games at No. 1 singles and Melinda Vansant lost a team-low total of two games over her two victories (No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles).

The Georgia Southwestern men's tennis team had little trouble getting past Tuskegee University on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
Joseph Bjerregaard and Yvan Ruelle won in both singles and doubles for GSW.
Jake Koonce did not lose a game in his victory at No. 6 singles for the Hurricanes and teammates Matt Vansant and Valentin Demande were just as perfect in their 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
GSW (2-1) improved to 27-0 in matches against against TU over the past three seasons.
Both GSW teams travel to Valdosta State on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with the Blazers.
