SAVANNAH - The men's and women's Georgia Southwestern tennis teams were defeated by Armstrong Atlantic on Sunday afternoon at Bacon Park. The third-ranked AASU men's team topped GSW, 9-0. The third-ranked AASU women knocked off the Lady Hurricanes, 9-0.

The GSW women fell to 7-3 overall and 1-3 in the PBC after losing at Armstrong Atlantic (6-0, 3-0 PBC) on Sunday.
The Lady Hurricanes won three games in doubles and struggled in singles against the perennial national power.
Leady Cuellar lost 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles against the top-ranked women's player in NCAA Division II, Alida Muller-Wehlau, 6-1, 6-2. Melinda Vansant fell 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6 to Jessica Gardefjord.

The GSW men fell to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the PBC after losing at Armstrong Atlantic (7-0, 3-0 PBC) on Sunday.
The Hurricanes put up a strong fight at No. 2 doubles, where Ryan Bartz and Tommy Cangelosi lost 8-4 to the 20th-ranked team of Matus Mydla and Pedro Scocuglia.
Stephen Moore had the closest match on the singles side, losing to 13th-ranked Rafael Array, 6-3, 6-2. Bartz lost at No. 2 singles to second-ranked Eudaldo Bonet, 6-2, 6-2.
Both GSW teams play their first home match of the 2011 season on Wednesday against Shorter at 1 p.m.
