The Peach Belt Conference has announced that 1,079 student-athletes have been named to the Presidential Honor Roll from the league office in Augusta. A total of 62 GSW student-athletes earned the honor in 2009-10, a nine percent increase from last year's total.

The Lady Hurricanes soccer team defeated Converse College 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Hurricane Field. Brittney Hill scored her second goal of the season and Elizabeth Keller knocked in another to help GSW improve their record to 1-1. Columbus State Selected as Peach Belt Favorite
CSU has once again been selected as the leagues favorite in a preseason poll of the leagues head coaches. The Cougars received seven of eight possible first-place votes to outdistance Armstrong Atlantic in second place and GCSU in third. Lander, Clayton State, UNC Pembroke, North Georgia, USC Aiken and GSW rounded out the voting.

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Georgia Southwestern University, a member of the Peach Belt Conference, has chosen PrestoSports for its new athletics web site solution. Members of the Hurricanes athletics team have worked closely with PrestoSports to begin the process for a new web site which is expected to launch later this year.

#24 Nova Southeastern too hot for Lady Canes
Georgia Southwestern State University Womens Soccer Team celebrated Youth Soccer Month today, as they hosted #24 ranked Nova Southeastern University Lady Sharks. Unfortunately for Georgia Southwestern, the day that started with a friendly youth soccer scrimmage, was capped by a 7-0 loss by the Lady Canes.
