AMERICUS - When Chelsea Person is ready to start a half, she's ready alright. The Columbus State sophomore opened the match with a goal in 15 seconds and nearly matched her efforts in the second half by scoring in 18 seconds to lead the 10th-ranked Lady Cougars past Georgia Southwestern, 10-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field.

Nicole Corcione matched Person with a pair of scores for Columbus State (8-3, 5-0 PBC).

CSU finished with a 21-1 shots on goal advantage and 13-2 margin in corner kicks.

Vanna Lucke played in goal the opening 53 minutes for the Lady Hurricanes and saved six shots before making way for Elyse Gowen, who stopped four in 37 minutes of action.

Maylyn Parsons saved one in her second start of the season for CSU.

Things don't get much easier for GSW (0-10-1, 0-4-1 PBC) as the Lady 'Canes travel to 23rd-ranked North Georgia for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday.
