Snow Announces 2012 Recruiting Class

Americus – Georgia Southwestern head women's soccer coach Samantha Snow announced her 2012 recruiting class. The Lady Hurricanes will add nine new faces to the roster for the 2012-13 academic year. 

Here's a look at the class:

Macauly Basham (5'9, GK, Fr., Kennesaw, Ga.)

Basham was a leadership award winner at North Cobb High School. A four-year letter winner, she was voted a team captain her senior year.

Amber Milner (5'5, F, Fr., Powder Springs, GA)

Milner was voted honorable mention all-county at McEachern High School. She's a two-time offensive player of year and a 2012 coach's award winner. She graduated with honors (3.8 GPA).

Mallory Hawkes (5'3, M, Fr., Powder Springs, GA)

Hawkes is a graduate of McEachern High School where she was a Georgia Merrit Scholar (4.2 GPA). She was a noted offensive standout and team MVP for the Indians.

Kaylee Krohn (5'5, F, Fr., Fort Myers, FL)

Krohn was a varsity captain on her Evangical High School team her junior and senior years where she led the team to the state regionals both seasons. At GSW, she joins her older sister, Kelsi, who is a junior on this year's squad.   

Catarena Arrant (5'2, M, Fr., Grayson, GA)

Arrant was a varsity letter winner for Archer High School.

Katie Dugan (5'8, D/M, Fr., Kennesaw, GA)

Dugan was voted senior team captain for North Cobb High School.

Nicole Trevino (5'5, D, So., Sierra Vista, AZ)

Trevino transferred to GSW from the University of New Mexico.

Kristi Sheridan (5'3, M/F, Fr., Smithville, GA)

Sheridan comes to GSW from Lee County High School.

Sloane Logan (5'9, M/F, Fr., Nashville, TN)

Logan is a product of Overton High School.

The Lady Hurricanes open up the 2012 campaign on August 31, as they travel to the University of West Georgia.
