DANIELS, W. Va. -- Georgia Southwestern golfer Vincent Norrman shot a tournament-low 66 during Round 3 of the NCAA DII Golf Championship as he finished tied for 19th place. Norrman shot a 77 and 73 during Rounds 1 & 2 at the par 72, 7,114 yard Resort at Glade Springs course.
Norrman's six birdies in the final round helped him move up 51 spots to secure a top-20 finish. He finished the tournament with nine birdies and 36 pars as his performance helped him earn First Team All-American honors by the Golf Coaches Associations of America.
Norrman joins the ranks of J.P. Griffin (2012) and Nate Gahman (2013) who also competed in the NCAA DII Championship. Griffin placed ninth while Gahman placed 23rd.
