Killen, Ala. - The men's golf team traveled to Killen, Ala. to compete in the TVA Credit Union Invitational. After the first two rounds the Hurricanes are placed in 12th as a team with a score of 624.
Freshman Nicholas Ward is the front runner for the Hurricanes with a score of 73 and 71 in the first and second rounds. Ward is tied for third in the tournament.
Freshman Fraser Johnston had a slow start in the first round marking a 82. In the next round Johnston showed improvement with a score of 76. Jordan Baker improved in the second round as well shooting a 81 in the first round, then a 77 in the next. Johnston and Baker are tied for 44th place with three other competitors from Harding University, Clayton State, and Delta State.
It was a slower day on the course for sophomore Anders Olsson with a total score of 164. Olsson is tied for 69th place with a player from Young Harris College. Christopher Campos had a steady day on the course matching his score in both rounds, he finished the day with a score of 182.
The Hurricanes are set to start to begin the third round at 8:45 on Tuesday, October 22nd.
