Gibson finishes tied for 43rd at Super Regionals
Georgia Southwestern's Craig Gibson tied for 43rd out of 108 golfers in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/Southeast Super Regional at the Wilson Country Club in Wilson, N.C.
Gibson posted a 77 in the final round on Wednesday, giving him a three-day tournament total of 219, 6-over par.
Starting his final round on the back nine, Gibson recorded bogeys on No. 4 and 7 before hitting into the sand on No. 8 and coming out with his only double-bogey of the tournament. Gibson notched his only birdie Wedensday on No. 10 and bogeyed Nos. 11, 12, and 14. He finished with three-consecutive pars.
Ben Lasso, of Queen's University of Charlotte placed first with a score of 205.
Barry University won the team championship by one stroke over Sunshine State Conference rival Lynn.
