Hawkins joins men's basketball program

Georgia Southwestern men’s basketball head coach Mike Leeder has announced that Newton High School standout Jamon Hawkins will join the Hurricane program this fall.

Reigning PBC Tournament champion Clayton State took its first step to defending its title with a 63-48 victory over tournament newcomer Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday evening in first-round action of the 2009 Peach Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Championship.

Mobley and Sargent receive Peach Belt honors

GSW men's basketball player Evan Mobley was named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year today as announced by the conference office on the eve of the PBC Tournament. Senior guard Anthony Sargent was a Second Team All-Conference selection
