Movin' On Up

AMERICUS, Ga. – In the second poll of the season, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) ranked the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes twelfth in its Division II Men's Basketball Top 25 poll. The Blue & Gold moved up nine spots from their 21st ranking in the NABC's preseason poll released on November 1st. The twelfth place finish in the poll is the highest ranking in program history in the NABC poll. GSW is still the only Peach Belt  Conference member to finish in the NABC's Top 25.

Coach Leeder and company are off to a 5-0 start, which is the program's best start to a season since becoming a NCAA Division II member and joining the Peach Belt Conference during the 2006-07 season. The Hurricanes were also picked to finish 1st in the Peach Belt Conference in the conference's Preseason Coaches' Poll released earlier this fall.
