Hayes Gets First Collegiate Win; GSW Tops Albany State Behind Barron Blast Zach Barron delivered a two-run home run in the eighth inning to halt an Albany State University comeback and propel GSW to a 7-4 win Tuesday evening at the ASU Baseball Complex. Hurricanes Win Series Opener At No. 22 Georgia College, Await Postseaon Fate GSW jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second inning on Friday evening at John Kurtz Field and held on late to upend No. 22 Georgia College, 7-5, in Game 1 of their Peach Belt weekend baseball series. The Bobcats defended their home turf on Saturday, handing GSW a pair of losses to close out the weekend. The Hurricanes finished 10-14 in the Peach Belt, in a tie for eighth place, and must wait until Sunday for confirmation of their postseason conference tournament bid. For GSW, picking up even one road win against the 22nd-ranked team in the country was impressive as it was only the third loss Georgia Collgege suffered at home in 24 games this season. Full Story
