Baseball Set To Host Select Camp IV & Youth Camp

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team will be hosting Select Camp IV and a youth camp this upcoming May for players who plan on taking their game to the next level. GSW coaching staff will teach the skills necessary to reach the collegiate playing level. As a player, you will have the opportunity to meet the coaching staff one-on-one and be evaluated by the camp staff.

Select Camp IV will be hosted on May 4. Each camp has a registration fee of $150 with check-in beginning at 8 a.m. and the camp ending around 5 p.m.

Select Camps are one day camps that feature instructions, a showcase and/or prostyle workout in which high school and junior college players can display their talents. Players will receive the opportunity to meet and interact with GSW coaching staff, get instructions about hitting, defense and pitching. They will also get information about strength, conditioning and about both recruiting and academics as an evaluation will be available upon request.

Youth Camp, for players ages 5-12, is a three-day camp that will be hosted from May 28-30. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. as the camp will last until 12:30 p.m. The camp has a registration fee of $75 and will give the young players an opportunity to expand their baseball skills and benefit from a unique, competitive and challenging atmosphere; while learning from GSW coaches and players.

All campers are required to bring all necessary baseball equipment such as: bat, gloves, cleats, tennis shoes and catcher's gear (if needed). All GSW Baseball Camps are open to any and all applicants and are limited only by the number of slots available per camp and the age, grade level and/or the gender of the participant.
