AMERICUS, Ga. – Georgia Southwestern State University has announced that Carrie Rahn has been named Head Athletic Trainer. She will be responsible for overseeing the health of GSW student-athletes and addressing all athletic training needs within the department.
Before coming to GSW, Rahn spent two years as a graduate assistant at Georgia Southern. She was responsible for treating the Eagles’ softball and women’s soccer teams during her time in Statesboro. Rahn was a student athletic trainer at Valdosta State for three years prior to her time at Georgia Southern. While at VSU, her duties included working and treating the football and men’s basketball teams.
“I am very excited to be here, and I am very excited for the opportunity to be part of the Hurricane team here at Georgia Southwestern,” Rahn said.
Carrie Rahn is a native of Clyo, Georgia. She earned a B.S. in athletic training from Valdosta State University. She recently finished her master’s degree in kinesiology from Georgia Southern.
