Local law enforcement officers and firefighters to meet on the hardwood

The inaugural Guns N' Hoses Charity Basketball Game will take place this Saturday (2/20) during halftime of the GSW women's matchup with North Georgia that tips at 2:30 p.m.

Local law enforcement officers are set to square off against the Americus Fire Department in a seven-minute contest.

Parents and kids are encouraged to come early and color with Surge (the GSW mascot). From 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the entrance to the Storm Dome, coloring sheets will be available featuring Surge with an officer and a firefighter. Participants in the Guns N' Hoses game will be on hand, as well.

$1 from each admission ticket purchased will be donated to the participating teams. In addition, during both GSW basketball games, fans are welcome to make a donation to the event. Both sides will split the afternoon's collection and proceeds will go to the charities of their choice.

There's a full schedule of events on Saturday as it's also GSW basketball Senior Day and Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Employee Day.
